Rue de Machet Market

Rue de Marchet is a small cozy market located near Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. It is a grocery market with a rich selection of meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, bread and fresh pastries. There are few tourists here, although there is a tourist area near the parallel street with numerous shops, boutiques, restaurants and art galleries.

Rue de Marchet is allowed to get acquainted with the face of Paris, which usually remains behind the scenes and is not included in sightseeing tours. Near the market there are several cozy cafes, in which only the citizens stay and in them you can rarely hear non-French speech.
