Roland Garros Stadium

14 Rue des Arts, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt, France

Description:

In 1928, Roland Garros Stadium opened in Paris. The decision to open it was made a year earlier when France won the Tennis Cup while in the US. A return meeting was planned a year later, this time in France. At that time, Paris did not have a tennis stadium that could accommodate the required number of visitors. That is why the construction of the stadium began soon.

It was named after the hero of the Great Patriotic War, the French pilot Roland Garros. The annual Grand Slam tennis tournament of the same name takes place here, its visitors are more than 400,000 tourists. On the territory of the stadium there are many fast feet, bars and even elite restaurants. There are 30 food outlets in total. There is a tennis museum nearby. Here you can see the equipment of athletes from the last century. There is also a video showing historical moments in sports. All tourists have the opportunity to take a tour of Roland Garros, which includes a visit to the commentator booths, press center and locker rooms with the "name" shelves of champions. Visitors can have a great time at the Rado tennis attraction and shop at shops such as Adidas and La Griffe.
