Dupuytren Museum of Anatomy
15 rue de l Ecole-de-Medecine, 75006
About the company:
The Dupuytren Museum of Anatomy was created in parallel with the Institute of Pathology in Paris. The exposition vividly illustrates the pathologies of development and disease of the human and animal body.
The room that makes up the museum is filled with shelves on which banks with embryos and various organs stand. There are also skeletons and mummified body parts, anatomical wax models, photographs and books. Many inscriptions accompanying the exhibits are in Latin, some of them are not signed at all (the tablets were lost in the process of moving the museum).
This unusual museum can be of interest to both medical students and those interested in anatomy and medicine. But definitely for people with strong nerves.
The museum is part of the institute, so it works only on weekdays, closing on weekends and holidays.
