Museum Rodin

Museum Rodin, 79 Rue de Varenne, 75007 Paris, France

About the company:

The Auguste Rodin Museum was opened in 1919 in the rich Biron Palace. The museum was created two years after the death of the famous sculpture of France. The main goal pursued by the creators was to unite all the sculpture works under one roof into a single collection.

The palace, which housed the museum, was built in the middle of the eighteenth century. The palace belonged to financier Abraham Peyren de Mor, but after his death many artists lived here, among whom was Auguste Rodin himself.

There are so many exhibits in the museum that some of them are placed in the garden surrounding the museum. In total, the museum contains more than six thousand sculptures, eight thousand photographs and a great many other works of art.
