Paris Wine Museum

5 Square Charles Dickens, 16th arrondissement of Paris, France

About the company:

In the sixteenth arrondissement of Paris you can find an amazing place called the Paris Wine Museum. Only here you can get acquainted with the centuries-old history of making French wine, as well as taste this delicious drink.

In the Middle Ages, the area of Paris, which today houses the Museum of Wine, was a vast vineyard. Here also stood a Franciscan monastery, whose monks were engaged in winemaking. The wine was so delicious that Louis XIII himself was a frequent visitor. The French Revolution put an end to the small monastic business - wine cellars were looted, and the monastery was badly damaged.

Already in the twentieth century, the Parisian entrepreneur decided to make a museum from the preserved wine cellars, which works to this day.
