Lyon railway station
Description:
Lyon Station is located in Paris in the 12th arrondissement. This station belongs to the six largest railway stations. The name of this station is given in honor of the city with the same name Lyon.
The first platform was opened in 1849. A little later, according to the project of Sendrie F.A., the station building was built. In 1871, during the Paris Commune, it completely burned down. Thanks to the efforts of the Toulon architect Marius Tuduar, the building was restored for the Great Exhibition of 1900.
A distinctive feature of Lyon Station from thousands of others in the world is the square 67-meter clock tower. The building itself consists of several levels-floors.
From the Lyon railway station trains run towards the southeast of the country, to the Alps, Greece, Italy.
