Excursion to Bretoy Castle. In the Trail of Charles Perrault's Tales
Description:
It’s nice to see how the excitement overwhelms both children and adults after visiting this castle.
A real noble nest, Bretey Castle belongs to one family for about 400 years, which is already a rarity. In France, there are only a dozen castles bearing the same name as the owners. The Marquises of Bretey are a brilliant aristocratic family: the three Marquises of Bretey served the three kings of France and were ministers. During the reign of Louis XIV, the Marquis de Bretay was very friendly with another court nobleman - Charles Perrault. Some of the writer’s famous stories were created here. Therefore, the current owners decided to recreate in pictures fairy tales known to the world. And they turned their castle into a real adventure for children. Many wax figures and interactive compositions are presented both in the castle and in the park. Children with enthusiasm are looking for a Boy with a finger, a cat in boots, Sleeping beauty, Red Riding Hood ... Bluebeards are frightened; and then happily run through the intricate labyrinth to the place where Cinderella and the Prince swirl in the wedding dance. The magnificent and huge park will be appreciated by lovers of landscape design - the park is a national treasure - there are also places for picnics and a playground, flower beds and a pond with fish and a lake ... Bretley Castle is hard to part with! The tour can be combined with a visit to the park "France in miniature"
