Park La Willett

France, Paris

Description:

La Villette is a park located on the northeastern border of the 19th arrondissement of Paris, near the suburb of Saint-Denis.

La Villette was designed by Bernard Chumi on the grounds of the former meat market and slaughterhouse as part of the city's redevelopment program. In his work, the avant-garde architect relied on the ideas of deconstructivism of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida.

La Villette Park stands out among others for its non-standard view. The park has 10 themed gardens that differ from each other.

The area of La Villette Park is 55 hectares, it has its own planetarium, a cinema built in the shape of a ball, the City of Music and an exhibition hall.

The most interesting place in La Villette is the science town. Here you can become a Mirage fighter pilot, learn how the weather forecast is made, see how the movie is made and feel the “stuffing” of the TV.

Special love in La Villette enjoys the hall "Argonaut", which offers to visit the submarine and even stand at the helm, as well as the department "Synax", where almost real intergalactic flights take place.

For the youngest guests in La Villette there are attractions like “Sound Bubble” or “Robot Russy”.
