Port Dauphin

Place du Marchal de Lattre de Tassigny, Paris, France

Description:

Port Dauphin Metro Station is the terminus of the second line of the Paris Metro. The platform of the station is interesting because its lobby is one of the few extant works designed by the famous French designer and architect Hector Guimard.

Port Dauphin Station consists of one platform and one path. Near the platform is the University of Paris-Dauphine, the largest and most famous university in France, founded in 1968 during the reform of the University of Paris. Economics and education is the main area of work of the educational institution.

Near the station Port Dauphin is a lot of hotels category 3-4*, which are suitable for budget accommodation.

Hector Guimar is the brightest representative of the Art Nouveau style. The master worked hard on the construction of stations for the Paris metro. It was thanks to him that the so-called subway style appeared - this is how modernity is called in France.
