National Museum of Haiti

Mupanah, Avenue de la R publique, Port-au-Prince, Haiti

About the company:

The National Museum of Haiti is located in the center of the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince, near another attraction - the National Palace. Behind the walls of the museum are thousands of exhibits, one way or another covering the centuries-old history of Haiti. Here you will find not only a collection of paintings, coins, weapons, but also the most important documents that played a decisive role in the development of the state.

The historic invasion of Haiti by European colonizers has not been ignored. In the museum you can see striking frescoes depicting the cruelty of the Spaniards to the Indians, as well as the cruelty of French soldiers to African slaves.

Of particular interest is the anchor, borrowed from the ship of the discoverer of America Christopher Columbus.
