Father's Day in Germany

Description:

Vatertag
For most people in Germany, it is Father’s Day. While this does not contradict Christian history, unfortunately few people can answer the question, “Why is Father’s Day celebrated on this day?”

Legislatively, Father’s Day was introduced in the country in 1936 and was immediately tied to the feast of the Ascension of the Lord as a counterbalance to church tradition.

On Father’s Day, men form a company and leave without wives for nature. The most popular hiking and cycling (excursions), you can also sit in an open-air bar for a mug of beer.

However, as equality between men and women increases, the custom is transformed into a family holiday in nature.
