Brecht House Museum
Auf dem Rain 8,86150 Augsburg, Germany
About the company:
The Brecht House Museum, located in the German city of Augsburg, was organized by the countrymen of the world-famous playwright.
Bertolt Brecht himself considered the best train to Munich in his hometown, but the residents of the city did not forget about Brecht and carefully keep the house in which he lived only two years from birth.
The exposition of the museum is typical for any literary museum. Personal belongings, documents, manuscripts of the playwright are stored in several departments: devoted to the childhood and youth of the writer, his first steps in literature, the émigré period and his return to his homeland. The museum’s collection also includes two portraits of expressionist playwright Fritz Hansheimer and Hans Tombrok and a bronze head sculpture by Fritz Kremer.
