Baden-Baden

Baden-Baden and Strasbourg

Description:

The tour will begin in Baden-Baden. Here we will walk along the embankment of the Oz River, on which there are brilliant hotels of the 19th century. The events of Turgenev’s novel “Smoke” took place in one of them. We will walk through the casino halls (admission costs an additional 10 EUR), see the romantic Strasbourg alley. We will stop at the houses where Dostoevsky and Gogol lived. Prince Menshikov, Princess Gagarina – every house is associated with brilliant names. We'll get to the baths. What were the real Roman baths? Why are the current terms called Roman-Irish? At the end, we will have a cup of coffee in the imperial pastry and go to France.

The road to Strasbourg is about 60 km. During the relocation, we will take a break and with new strength go for a walk in Strasbourg.

Strasbourg is a fascinating city. The city was liberated from each other by the Germans and the French. Thanks to these influences, the unique appearance of the city was formed. In the heart of the city stands the Dome Cathedral. High Gothic, stained glass windows, organ and astronomical clocks create a solemn church atmosphere. We will walk through the medieval streets. We will walk near shops selling salted caramel or goose liver pate. We will walk through France Minor – instead of streets in this area canals, instead of crossroads – bridges.

After lunch, you will have time to wander through the streets of the city, ride a boat or just go shopping.
