Bamberg

Bamberg tour

Description:

Bamberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, it is often called Franconian Rome.

It miraculously survived the last World War and is recognized as a UNESCO cultural heritage. A city with more than a thousand years of bloody history, one of the main episcopal centers of Bavaria. The tour of Bamberg begins with the old town hall, built on an island in the middle of the river. The beauty of Bamberg is crowded half-timbered houses, irregular curved alleyways, luxurious baroque palaces of wealthy citizens standing right on the river and a poor fishing quarter - little Venice. One of the main attractions of Bamberg is the Cathedral, called simply Dom (from the Latin Deus Omnibus Maximus), recognized by the Vatican as basilisa minor. The mysterious Bamberg horseman and the imposing sarcophagus of the imperial couple Heinrich and Kunigunda. We will visit the rose garden hanging over the city, the Cathedral of St. George. Michael with a rare, vegetable painting of vaults, a very unusual tombstone of St. Michael. Otto, who is visited by all suffering from back pain and the chapel of the Holy Sepulchre. Bamberg’s business card is a famous, one-of-a-kind, smoked beer. The theater in Bamberg is not famous. Another thing is its director - Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. Brilliant writer, composer, artist and visionary. A man with many gifts, but a dramatic fate.
