Rose Garden
Aufsesstrase, Bamberg, Germany
Description:
The Rose Garden, located in the German city of Bamberg, on a flat area of Domberg Hill, was founded in 1705 in a courtyard in front of the Old Court State. The garden offers a beautiful view of the hills of the Jurassic period, the hill Michaelberg and the city itself.
The garden was created in the Baroque style with geometrically correct flower beds planted with roses of all colors and varieties. Between the rose bushes are statues of German sculptor Ferdinand Titz, made in the Rococo style. Also in the garden you can see a small fountain and many benches. Locals and visitors of the city of Bamberg love to come to the Rose Garden to stroll along its shady alleys and inhale the aroma of the beautiful flowers after which the garden was named.
