"Baba without brains" monument
Description:
The monument “Baba without brains”, located in the German city of Bamberg, was nicknamed by Russian tourists for its unusual appearance. It is located in a small square on the banks of the Linker Regnitzar River near the Old Town Hall building. Part of the monument may have been destroyed during World War II.
The monument, the name of the creator and the date of creation of which are unknown, is a sculpture installed on a pedestal about 3 meters high. The bronze sculpture depicts part of a woman’s head up to her forehead. The expression of the face of the sculpture is not cheerful, which may indicate that the prototype of it survived some kind of misfortune.
