Eagle's nest. Salt caves. Berchtezgaden. koenigsey
Description:
Mount Obersalzberg (1885 m) between Berchtesgaden and the Austrian border is the place where Hitler justified his Berghof bet in 1935.
From here he saw the valley and the Austrian city of Salzburg. In 1939, on the very top of Mount Kehlstein (1843 m.) Bormann built the Tea House, which was actually called DEE - Haus or more precisely Kehlsteinhaus and gave it to Hitler. Hitler visited the house only five times. After the war, this building survived and the Americans nicknamed it “Eagle’s Nest”. On Mount Obersolzberg, the Fuehrer subsequently built a whole complex of buildings and structures there, which was bombed in 1945. The Kellsteinhaus house is the road to it, the tunnel and the elevator (124 m) are preserved. There is a magnificent view: Mount Wetzman (2713 m), Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Royal Lake. During our trip, we will also be able to visit the city of Berchtesgaden (8 thousand people), founded by Augustinian monks in 1106, sail by boat on the Royal Lake (8 km-1.3 km) to the monastery of St. George. Bartholomew, take a lift to Mount Enner (1874 m) with a magnificent view of the Alps and the lake. You can also visit Salzbergwerk - where we will be shown colorfully and visually how salt was mined in the Middle Ages.
