Museum of Women in Bonn

Im Krausfeld 10, 53111 Bonn, Germany

About the company:

In 1981, Marianne Pitzen opened a museum dedicated to women, their work and creativity. Frau Pitzen has created something new and unknown to society. And her museum, the only one of its kind, is very popular, by the way, not only among women.

Today, the Women’s Museum has more than 500 exhibitions and related programs that have long been internationally recognized. Since its inception, the museum has displayed more than 2,500 works by women artists. Many of these artworks are now being hammered for large sums in the international art market.

The Women's Museum is not a static place with a firm hand, it is a living home that is often renewed by women's creativity and the diversity that a woman's hand and mind can create.
