Schillerstra &zlig e 1, 27570 Bremerhaven 27570 Bremerhaven
Description:
The Lutheran Church of Christ in Bremershaven is famous for organ music concerts. Ogreen has been present in the church since its opening, but a modern wonder with intriguing curved shapes appeared in the church in 1967. The modern instrument has three rows of keyboard and 40 rows of pipes, some of which reach five meters in height.
The church lost its bells twice - during the First and Second World Wars, when they were melted down to make weapons. To date, there are 4 bells in the bell tower, which were made in 1955, they ring in different tones, and each has an inscription that gives meaning to the sound of its owner, for example, on the smallest written text reads: "Sing a song to the glory of God."
The architecture of the church building is designed in the best traditions of neo-Gothic style - it fascinates with fantastic curves and carvings, sharp spire and openwork arches. The square five-storey tower, topped with an octagonal helmet with a spire, will not leave the church without attention. The interior rooms please with their expanses and elegant decoration. The church hall is divided by huge columns, which end in the form of a shamrock cross. Thanks to the large Gothic windows, the inside of the church is always bright and cozy.
