About the company:
The hospital museum, located in the German city of Bremen, occupies one of the buildings of the former psychiatric hospital. The expositions of the museum tell the story of the development of clinical psychiatry from its very inception to the XX century.
The museum expositions present straitjackets, stun guns, patient histories, audio and video recordings of procedures aimed at treating mental illness. The interiors of wards for mentally ill people are reproduced here in great detail. Part of the exhibits are devoted to psychiatry during the Third Reich, when the methods of forced euthanasia were used in relation to mentally ill patients.
