Museum of Modern Art Weserburg
Teerhof 20, 28199 Bremen, Germany
About the company:
The Weserburg Museum of Contemporary Art, located right in the middle of the Weser River in the German city of Bremen, is considered the largest museum of modern art in Germany. The building of the museum was built in 1894 as a warehouse of a tobacco factory in the Gothic style, which distinguishes it from other buildings in the district.
In 1991, a museum was opened here, which was conceived as a collection of private collections of modern art. Each of the museum’s collections reflects its owner’s view of modernity, all together representing the history of art from the 1960s to the present day. More than two dozen collections have been collected in the Weserburg Museum since the opening. In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum exhibits the works of modern photographers, sculptors and artists.
