Heninger Tower

Aschaffenburger Strabe 5, Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Description:

Heninger Tower is one of the leading business centers of Frankfurt am Main, as well as one of the symbols of the financial district of the city. The tower holds 33 floors and has a height of 120 meters. Made in the classic for this type of buildings architecture of modernity: reinforced concrete frame and glass finish.

The tower was built from 1958 to 1961. Interestingly, at the top of the tower for a long time there was a rotating restaurant, similar to that located in the Ostankino TV Tower. For some time in this part of the skyscraper there were even two restaurants.

Since 2002, the building has been closed for public visits. Since then, it has been a closed business center. In 2012, it became known about the demolition of the tower due to the high cost of reconstruction. At this place it is planned to build a new residential complex with a height of 138 meters.
