City-Haus skyscraper

City-Haus, Frankfurt, Germany

Description:

City-Haus is a unique structure of 142-meter height, located on the Revolution Square in Frankfurt am Main. The project was designed by architects Richard Hale and Jonas Cran in 1971. The building is built of reinforced concrete structures. It consists of several housings, representing the letter "H" on top. The wings of the structure are slightly shifted. The standard height of floors is 3.2 meters. There are 42 floors in City-Haus.

In August 1973, a fire broke out on the upper floors of City-Haus. The likely reasons were improper construction work. Complete restoration and strengthening of the facade of the building survived in 2007 and 2008. The architect Mackler worked on this. The new lining of the building has become more bright and attractive.
