The Silver Tower

Jurgen-Ponto-Platz 1, Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Description:

The Silver Tower is located in Jürgen Ponto Square. The administrative building was built in 1978 and consists of 32 floors. Until the end of the twentieth century was the tallest skyscraper in Europe. The modern design of the tower, made of steel, aluminum and concrete, got its name due to the silver color.

Local residents of Frankfurt often call this skyscraper the building of Dresdner Bank, as until 2009 there was a bank of the same name. In 2012, the building was acquired by the new owner of the German company IVG Immobilien Internet. It is noteworthy that all the squares of the skyscraper have rounded shapes, both inside and outside.
