The Bather's Monument

Binnenalster, 20354 Hamburg, Germany

Description:

The Bathers Monument was erected in Hamburg in 2011. The monument immediately made a lot of noise, it was written about in the newspapers and talked about in the news. Of course, in Lake Alster in the city center appeared a giant statue of a naked bathing woman.

But in fact, the censorship took its toll: the monument is a woman’s head and her naked knees peeking out from under the water. At the same time, the most outstanding in the monument is its size, namely 30 meters in height and 4 meters in width.

The monument was immediately chosen by lovers of swimming on boats and boats. As close as possible to the monument, people took impressive photos of themselves against the background of a huge female head.
