A boat ride along the port harbour and canals
Description:
Hamburg can be enjoyed from many angles. One of the most interesting is the view of the city and its port facilities from the water. We invite you to walk along the Elbe and the adjacent canals. We will go on a journey from the pier "Landungsbrücken" or from the city of warehouses "Speicherstadt" and enjoy the view of ancient parkhouses from the water. In another perspective, the futuristic Hafencity district will open to our eyes, rounding the “construction of the century” and the new symbol of Hamburg – the Philharmonic on the Elbe, we will head to the port harbor.
We will see historical ships-museums, berths and port promenade, the oldest shipyard of the city "Blom and Foss", the historical dry dock "Elba 17", the cruise center of Altona, the Russian submarine-museum U-434 and the striking building in the shape of the parallelepiped Dockland. Further, the path passes through container terminals equipped with the latest technology, where ships from all over the world are unloading or loading.
