Lake Honhorst

Lake Honhorst is a beautiful lake, which is located in the park of the city of Lert, 17 kilometers from Hanover. The park is visited not only in summer, when you can ride catamarans on the lake, but also in winter, because in winter the lake turns into an ice rink. The lake is almost never deserted. Lake fishing attracts not only men, but also women, who in equal numbers can be found on the shore of Honhorst.

Despite the fact that the lake is located in the city, the water in it is so clean that the reservoir has become a favorite place for bathing citizens. On the coast of Lake Honhorst, you can taste national German cuisine in a cozy restaurant. It is noteworthy that the lake in the early twentieth century was formed for the extraction of gravel, which was used in the construction of the highway. After the completion of road work, the lake was decided to leave. The surrounding area was turned into a comfortable area for recreation.
