Fountain "Girl with Goose"

The main attraction of Göttingen is the fountain Girl with a goose (Gä nseliesel fountain). This, according to residents of the city - "the most kissed girl in the world." According to an ancient century-old tradition, graduates of the University of Göttingen after receiving a diploma should kiss a girl on bronze cheeks. This monument to the fairy-tale heroine is a favorite meeting place and is located in the heart of the city opposite the Old Town Hall.
