Monument to Soviet citizens in Karlsruhe

The monument to Soviet citizens-victims of fascism is located in Karlsruhe, Germany. It was installed in 1988 on the site of the New Jewish Cemetery, which belongs to Russia. Funds for its creation and installation were allocated by the city authorities.

The monument is a stone cross on a pedestal with a square base and an oval shape at the cross, on which two epitaphs are inscribed. One - on the front side of the obelisk in Russian, the second - in German at the front side of the foot on a plate embedded in the ground. The inscriptions are identical and read: “Soviet citizens are victims of German fascism.” Let the fascists know that no act of their atrocities from 1942 to 1945 will go unpunished.
