Eiffel - from Cologne (Dusseldorf, Bonn)
Description:
This car tour is designed for a tourist who has already seen the major cities of the West of Germany and he wants to get acquainted with little-known Russian tourists places that can be safely called the outback of Germany.
These are small towns and villages in the Eifel mountain range, which stretches from Aachen south to the Moselle River, from Cologne southwest to Luxembourg.
This mountainous area is occupied by forests, and among the wooded highlands rivers flow, the banks of which are covered with vineyards, which are the ideal material for the production of well-known varieties of red and white wines. Such a landscape of grape terraces will accompany us on a trip to the valley of the river Ar. In autumn, at the end of the week, you can always find a place where local winemakers celebrate the wine festival.
The road to the valley of the river Ar passes by a unique in size radio telescope with a 100-meter diameter reflector. This scientist is already 40 years old.
But the beginning of the tour involves a visit to the city of Bad Münstereifel, preserved from the Middle Ages. Surrounded by a preserved fortress wall and four city gates, the city makes you forget the outside world and plunge into the history that every house breathes here. It was in this city in the 18th century that the Russian doctor of German origin Fyodor Petrovich Gaaz was born, on the tombstone of which the words “Hurry to do good” were carved. The city of Bad Munstereifell has interesting museums, as well as a whole string of recently opened brand stores (if you are interested in shopping at the same time). The tour will end with a tasting of the best varieties of red wines in one of the winemaking centers (at your choice at my suggestion).
The cost of the services specified on the site is negotiated in each individual case individually, of course, agreed with the customer and depends on many factors.
