What excursions are not offered by Russian-speaking travel agencies,
located in the south and north-west of Germany: Amsterdam, Bruges, Brussels, Trier + Luxembourg, the castles of the Rhine and Moselle... Cologne isn't in the mix. Strangely enough, there is no demand. So it turns out that the question “what to see in Cologne” follows the answer – the cathedral, the old town and beer houses.
Indeed, the city, destroyed by 90% at the end of World War II, is not as elegant as Florence or Prague. Therefore, you can only see it well prepared, or look with someone who knows. The capital of the Rhine Carnival, carefully preserved dialect, Kölsch, Tünnes and Schell... This is only a small fraction of what I will show you in 4 hours (from Cologne) or 6 hours (from Düsseldorf). Let those who were in Cologne but saw nothing but the cathedral there envy you.
