Excursion to Neuschwanstein and Hoenschwangau Castles (by train)
Description:
During this tour you will see the interior decoration of two majestic and famous Bavarian castles Neuschwanstein and Hoenschwangau.
We meet with you at the information board at the central railway station of Munich (Hauptbahnhof), buy a ticket that is valid for round trips, board a regional train and within 2 hours drive to the city of Füssen. All the way I tell the story of Obevar “fairytale” King Ludwig II, the builder of famous Bavarian palaces and castles.
In Fussen, we transfer to a regular bus, which in 5 minutes takes us to the castle ticket offices.
As a rule, entrance tickets to the castles I book for guests in advance. You buy the tickets (one combined entrance ticket to both castles), and we go up to Hoenschwangau Castle, which you visit first.
After a 25-minute tour of the castle, we walk or on a carriage with horses (winter), or on a special bus (spring, summer and until mid-autumn), go up to Neuschwanstein Castle, a tour of the castle lasts 35 minutes.
On the way back, you can have lunch at a traditional Bavarian restaurant.
The way back to Munich is similar: first, by bus to Füssen, and from there by regional train to the central Munich station.
