Excursion to Herrenchiemsee Palace on Lake Himsee

We will go to Lake Himsee, lying in the southeast of Bavaria in a picturesque mountain valley and is the second largest in Europe after Lake Constance.

Here, on the pier, we will take a boat and after a 15-minute water walk we will find ourselves on the “Men’s Island” (Herreninsel), on which the Bavarian King Ludwig II of the 70s-80s of the nineteenth century embodied his dream of creating a cult temple in honor of the French “Sun King” Louis XIV – Herrenhimsee Palace.

Here in the palace we visit the museum of the “fairytale king” of Bavaria Ludwig II.

In summer, you can also swim by boat to the "Women's Island", where in a Bavarian restaurant to taste the local lake fish with excellent beer.
