Seehundbrunnen Fountain

Seehundbrunnen, Viktoriaplatz 1, Munchen, Bavaria, Germany

Description:

Munich in the number of monuments of art and culture is not inferior to the oldest cities in Germany. It is one of the most cozy and beautiful cities in the country. This beautiful town is located in southern Germany on the lands of Bavaria. Munich is famous for its traditions in brewing and its sights.

One of the works of art in Munich is its fountains. The fountains of Munich are a real miracle, embodied in marble and bronze sculptures by the hands of sculptors and artists. One such wonder is the Seehundbrunnen Fountain. It is located in a small park in Victoria Square. This fountain was designed in 1936 by sculptor Emil Manza. Many locals and visitors come to Victoria Square to admire the fountain. The fountain is a pedestal stone and a bronze figure of a dolphin. The inhabitants of Munich call it the Dolphin – the fountain, or the fountain – a fairy tale.

Seehundbrunnen Fountain is active and therefore in hot weather holidaymakers in Victoria Square or in the park can use the fountain to quench their thirst, as the water in it is drinking.
