Hofgarten is a Renaissance royal garden located in the north of Munich, overlooking the Odeon Square. This picturesque court garden is located in the Old Town, near the market square.
It is the oldest public park in Germany, since it was founded in 1615. The old garden, unfortunately, was destroyed during the war, but now it is recreated from old sketches.
Excursions are currently held at the Munich Residence. This is a great place where you can enrich your knowledge in the field of history and touch cultural monuments. Here you can just wander, and visit the nearby sights. Fortunately, they are in abundance – Academy of Arts, opera, museum of ceramics and other noteworthy objects.
