Dachau Museum
Alte Romerstra ß e 75, 85221 Dachau, Germany
About the company:
Dachau is a museum located in the city of the same name, which is considered a symbol of fascist concentration camps, where thousands of people died during the war.
The Dachau concentration camp began its work in 1933. It was built by the Nazis as a place for the “re-education” of socialists, communists, priests who opposed the Nazi regime, as well as people who were “far from the Aryan race”: Jews, Roma, etc. Also in Dachau, terrible medical experiments were constantly conducted on people.
The camp-museum is divided into two sections: a former concentration camp with cells for prisoners and an SS training camp.
Now this place is the Dachau Memorial Museum, established in 1965. There is a memorial stone with the words “Think of how we died here.” In 2003, the museum opened an exhibition about the history of the concentration camp and the plight of prisoners.
