St. Lambert's Church

Description:

St. Lambert's Church. There are three cages on the church tower. This is a reference to another page of Münster history, the era of domination in the city of the reformist sect of Anabaptists.

In short, the Anabaptists tried to change the order of church baptism and ensured that a person was baptized not in infancy, but upon reaching adulthood.

It was in the XVI century, the Anabaptists were defeated, the head of the sect Jan Leiden and two of his associates were executed in front of the town hall, after which their bodies were raised to the tower of the Church of St. Lambert in cages.

For fun.
