About the company:
The Museum of Industrial Culture was established in the 1980s and is housed in an old factory. The theme of the museum is the history of industrialization in Europe and Germany. The collection is based on various items reflecting the history of technology and industry, as well as immersing the visitor in the world of social and cultural life of Nuremberg XIX-XX centuries.
Thanks to the original and creative form of material submission, all information is presented in a complex manner, from various sides - it is socio-cultural aspects, and technical, economic, and other points of view. To show the lives of ordinary people - that is what the creators of the museum and its staff strive for. So that our contemporaries could understand the simplest things - how our ancestors studied in school, how they treated their teeth, what entertainment venues they visited, what devices they used, and so on. That is why the main hall of the museum resembles a city street.
Of great interest is the school section of the museum dedicated to the 500-year history of education in Germany. Its exposition displays the history of school development, novelties that appeared in school life, educational materials of different times used in different countries. A visit to the Museum of Industrial Culture is a short trip back in time and into the recent past.
