Berlin Tegel Airport

Description:

The airport building in the form of a hexagon, framing an open area, of course, is of interest from the point of view of architecture and urban planning. This form of the terminal significantly reduces the transition time from the aircraft to the exit terminal.

Tegel Airport is the central airport of Berlin Airlines and is the base airport for Lufthansa, as well as the base of charter flights departing from Germany. It is the largest airport in Berlin and the fourth busiest airport in Europe.

You can get to the airport by public transport and by your own car (highways A100 and A111). The Jet Express bus connects Tegel to Alexanderplatz and the city's central train station, buses 128, 109 and X9 take passengers to various areas of the city. Taxi and car rental services operate according to the airport’s schedule.

The airport has a full range of related services: currency exchange, bank representative offices, Wi-Fi throughout the terminal. For people with disabilities and passengers with children, additional platforms and special services are provided on request. For VIP-persons there is a conference room and a VIP-room.
