Carl Forster Garden

Germany, Potsdam

Description:

Carl Forster Garden is located in Germany in Bornim, near Potsdam. The garden was created by the magnificent and outstanding philosophical gardener Carl Forster. He was a gardener to the bone.

This garden, after the death of a famous gardener in 1970 at the age of 96, became a kind of museum for lovers to walk along beautifully manicured paths framed by magnificent scattered flowers. You can visit it on any day for free.

Going to the territory of the estate, where the garden is located, you will plunge into the fabulous world of plants. Since the garden is divided into two parts, in the lower part of the front of the house you can explore the "drowned" garden with a pond and a spring trail, and behind the house you will already plunge into the "stony garden of the seven seasons", where large trees, conifers and shrubs have grown, and, unfortunately, flowering plants such as cloves, pine fluxes and dwarf irises have disappeared, since these plants love the sun, and because of the huge trees there is now a garden for shade-loving plants.
