Park Nord (North Park)

Germany, Düsseldorf

Description:

Park Nord (North Park) is located in Germany, on the right bank of the Rhine, 4 km northwest of the center of Düsseldorf.

In 1936, gardener Willie Tapp conceived a plan to equip the abandoned city lands, on the sites of old brick factories and gardens. The plan of this arrangement was to build a park that the residents of the city could be proud of. And in 1937, the first opening of the imperial exhibition "Creative People" took place and the garden was formed.

Currently, the area is 36.6 hectares. It is gradually supplemented and improved, introducing any new elements of the garden. For example, in 1975 there was a Japanese garden, and in 1987 the building of the Aqua Zoo.
