Excursion from Stuttgart to Hohenzollern Castle - Tübingen
Description:
In the warm season from March to October, an unforgettable event will remain in your memory a trip to the “fairytale castle” of Württemberg – Hohenzollern Castle.
This is the embodiment of romantic ideas about what a medieval castle should look like. The Hohenzollerns, one of the most influential dynasties in Europe, from the bosom of which came the counts, dukes, German kings and Kaisers, rebuilt in the middle of the 19th century their "family nest" destroyed in the Middle Ages on one of the peaks of the mountain range of the Swabian Alps.
Then we will visit the old university town of Tübingen on the Neckar River. Admire the gondola boats on the river at the foot of the tower-museum dedicated to the German romantic poet Hölderlin who lived here, climb to the Castle-University, walk through the preserved medieval streets with many half-timbered houses and a beautiful town hall.
