Hans-im-Gluumlck Fountain
Description:
One of the main attractions of Stuttgart is a wonderful fountain called “Hans im Glumlik”, which literally translates as “Hans was lucky”. The building is located in the historical part of the city, it attracts many tourists with its original design and plot dynamics. The fountain is an iron cage, almost three meters high, in the center of which there is a small figure of a peasant trying to sit on the back of a golden pig, from whose mouth water flows. The plot is conveyed so realistically that residents and guests of the city think that the action takes place right before their eyes.
The fountain has a hidden meaning. Many people believe that a peasant who tries to ride blue wants to catch “luck by the tail” and get rich quickly, but thereby sits himself in a “golden cage” from which he is unlikely to ever get out. The fountain was inaugurated in 2005 and immediately gained great popularity far beyond Stuttgart. Every year many tourists come here to personally enjoy the sight and take good photos. Not far from here there are many cafes where you can have a good time.
