Sophie Fountain
Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Description:
The Sophie Fountain is located in the west of Stuttgart in Germany, in the Stadtbezirk area, near the intersection with a dirt road.
On the occasion of Princess Sophie's marriage to William III, the Sophienbrunnen Fountain was built in the Netherlands in 1839. Princess Sophie was the daughter of the couple Catherine Pavlovna and King William I of Württemberg.
The Sophienbrunnen Fountain was restored in 1990 and installed in Stuttgart, in a forest 430 meters above sea level at the foot of the mountain. It is a stone square from which water flows. Once on the ground, it flows down the stacked tiles.
