Fountain of Destiny

Stuttgart, Germany

Description:

The Fountain of Destiny is located in the area of the State Theatre in Germany. In 1914, the Fountain of Destiny was designed by Carl August Dondorf. It was created in memory of the opera singer Anna Sutter, who tragically died in 1910.

The whole sculpture is a stone wall. In the center is the Goddess of Destiny, whose hands are closed, because she holds the secret of human destiny. On the edges of the pedestal are two pairs of people in love. On the left, a man desperately seeks support and comfort in the arms of a woman. On the right side is a couple of lovers. A woman carries a wreath of victory to a man and holds the full cup of life in her hand.
