Fountain of Weberknotenbrunnen
Weberstrase / Brennerstrase, Stuttgart, Germany
Description:
The Weberknotenbrunnen fountain is set in a central square in Stuttgart, Germany. And this is not by chance, because in the past, weavers took place here daily, which brought the main profit to the city.
In 1988, Georg Müller Reinhold created a fountain in the form of an enlarged knot of threads. The threads tied in this way were not untied even when working with smooth fabrics on looms.
The fountain in height is equal to the average height of a person. Next to the sculpture in the form of a knot, a trough-pool is installed, into which water flows from the base of the fountain.
