About the company:

The old castle was the main residence of the dukes and counts of Württemberg for 400 years, but now it is one of the best museums in Germany, whose mission is to present the history of the country from the Stone Age to the present day.

The museum has many permanent exhibitions. The ancient collection of the National Museum of Württemberg consists of four parts: classical antiquities, collections of Roman provinces, a collection of ancient glass and works of art made of stone.

The Middle Ages in the museum is represented by a rich collection of jewelry monarchs: pearl necklaces, diamond necklaces, rings and earrings, the royal crown, generously decorated with emeralds, rubies, pearls and diamonds. Also, this era is represented in the collection of musical instruments, the main of which are keyboards.

The museum does not forget about German folklore. The collection includes the achievements of work, reflects images and worldviews, beliefs and superstitions. The exposition includes clothes, household items and the results of folk and artistic activities.

The State Museum of Württemberg regularly hosts temporary exhibitions, among which there have been exhibits of Russian museums.
