Mercedes Benz Museum

Mercedesstra & #223 e 100 70372 Stuttgart, Germany

About the company:

The German city of Stuttgart is the home of the world-famous Mercedes-Benz brand. This is where the museum is dedicated to these cars.

The museum at DaimlerChrysler has existed since 1923, but since 2006 the museum has been moved to a new building built in front of the main gate of the plant in Unterturkheim. Together with the Mercedes center, located in Stuttgart and the passage linking these buildings, the museum is part of the Mercedes World complex.

The new 9-storey shamrock-shaped building with an area of 16,500 square meters consists of 3 circles, on which more than 1,500 exhibits are presented, which testify to different periods of the history of the plant. Here you can see the world’s first cars Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz, as well as those cars that speak about significant events in the history of the company (for example, the racing car “Silver Arrow”, which Bob Boorman in 1911 set a world record in the development of speed of 228 km). The inspection begins from the top floor, gradually descending to the bottom in a twisted spiral. At the very end of the museum there is a restaurant and a souvenir shop.
