St. Mary's Pilgrimage Church
Description:
The pilgrimage church of St. Mary (Marienkapelle) is located on the opposite bank of the river Main on the hill of Nikolausberg. The Rococo building and the Gadencapelle Chapel (1749), built by Baltazar Neumann, create a very harmonious ensemble and balance the powerful Marienburg fortress on the nearby Schlosberg hill.
