Frissiras Museum
About the company:
The Frissiras Museum, opened in 2000, occupies two separate neoclassical buildings, which house more than 3,000 paintings of the past five decades and temporary exhibitions. Here you can see the works of not only famous Greek artists, but also masters from all over the world. In addition to paintings, the museum also features drawings, sculptures and engravings by major European artists, telling about anthropocentric European painting of the post-war years.
The museum also cooperates with other European institutions, foundations and museums. The work of the museum is based entirely on private initiative and aims to promote Greek art internationally, and also serves as a forum for exposure to European art. To prove this, the museum organizes excursions, educational programs, cultural events and concerts. In the museum building, a cafe and an art store with original art objects are arranged for the convenience of visitors.
